Dear Council Members,

Please pay Castill Hightower’s salary in full, without further delay, for at least the first three months of 2024. This is her reasonable expectation following the legislation and written communications from the city of Seattle regarding the Affected Persons Program (APP), passed in the November 2023 budget. Failure to pay Ms. Hightower’s salary compounds the problems she has encountered ever since the Seattle police killed her brother. Now, her credit and home mortgage payments are being negatively impacted. Please read Ms. Hightower’s letter to the councilmembers for more information.
